We will continue learning the history of the US government through people, ideas, and documents that influenced us. Examine the documents that created the American government, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Students will gain an uderstanding of the format and purpose of each of these documents, as well as the need for a Bill of Rights and other amendments.
